5mm?

Collected some .5-6 mm neelipleona, these are about as small as springtails get.

I could use some springtail advice. I bought one of those charcoal springtail cultures you can get at pet stores for frogs, vivariums, etc. I gave them some pieces of long grain brown rice. They don't seem to be doing good and I noticed a few dead ones. What am I doing wrong?

Does active dry yeast work as well or does it need to be nutritional yeast? Also what's the difference? 

That probably would work fine. Keep in mind that the springtails are mostly eating the mold that grows on the stuff you put in. You can find nutritional yeast at health food stores. I buy mine at Whole Foods.

Mine really like fish flakes. They swarm it when I drop it in. really cool.

Here's another species I collected in my parents' heavily forested backyard last week. They are 4mm, bluish, and have very long antennae. They are super abundant under the leaf litter.

Tomocerus sp, they seem to be very temperature sensitive. Keep em cool.

Try a dirt setup or a plaster dish, feed em yeast and fish food for quick growth.

Collected a very large amount of Siera sp. 13.

If you're referring to the Morulina, they're not doing so good. I was able to feed them some slime mold, and I can see 2 of the adults feeding, but 3-4 juvies have died and they mostly stick the walls of their enclosure.

Nooooooooooo! I was really hoping they'd do good. They are my favorite.
