Today, I checked on my Camponotus Pennsylvanicus queen to check how her eggs were organized. Unfortunately, they were very disorganized and not in a neat pile. I have heard that this means this is unmated, and the eggs will not produce workers. If anyone could give me their opinion, it would be a very helpful. I left a link to the images.
Also, while I was checking her, I saw that there was a small bug crawling around in the tube. I took some (bad) pictures of it. I am worried that it is a mite but I'm not sure. Even if there is a good chance that she is not mated I still want to keep her healthy. Of anyone has any tips in the case it is a mite, they would be appreciates.

All help is appreciated!
Also, sorry my images suck, I don't have a macro lens.
Edit: Btw I found her with her wings on so I wouldn't be surprised if she hadn't mated yet.
