1, Stratford Ontario Canada. Found these under a deck board. nest was dry and open concept no tunnels just sitting in the crack of 2 vertical boards under a top board.

I would not have collected them but I'm demoing the deck...

2, Early June

3, Small town farm fields and parkland all around.

4, Queen is like 3mm and the workers are like 1.5mm penny in the first pic for scale

5, Black body brownish legs

6,7, workers get the zoomies like woh and the are escape artists. they escaped from an ants canada outworld thru the small crack near where the bottom pops out if you want to stack them...(i did not have any substrate in it as i was not expecting guests)
