Get a cup of fruit flies, stick it into the freezer - doesn't matter if they can fly or not anymore. One cup should last you at least a few months.

Update: can’t buy fruit flies as mom won’t allow them( flightless or not). Can I use fungus gnats instead? They are little bugs living in my potted plants I could catch( and maybe grow) fairly easily. They are about same size as fruit flies and will be seen as suppression not bringing more bugs into the house.

You can use fungus gnats but you won't have a reliable supply. And I doubt that breeding them would be very efficient.

Ooooooooh ye of little faith. There is three shelf’s full of potted plants, and if I breath on any one of those plants, a whole cloud of them converge on me. There is a reliable source. And if my dad finally is able to find something to kill them I can either tell him not to spray my plants (oh no ÇhÊmÏčÅłŠ!) or I can take a jar of them and some wet moss and they will live like that for ever. No feeding and minimal water required.



Edit: I fed the ants some as a test. I’ll see what happens maybe post a pic.
Edit; how often should I feed them with these portions? Every day? Every two days.
