I currently have 3 Cyphomyrmex Rimosus queens, two were caught several days ago and are housed together along with an established fungus garden from another colony i accidentally uncovered and seem to be doing well. One was caught last night and is in a tube with some frass and leaf litter from my compost pile. I am basically looking for advice from anyone who has previously kept this species as there doesn't seem to be too much info online. There are several oak trees on my property that are covered in web worms which make an excellent source of frass, but i am worried that the tannins in the oak leaves might adversely affect the ant's gardens.
