1. Location: crack of sidewalk in a suburban environment, Jacksonville, FL

2. Date: April 9, 2018

3  Habitat: Semi-Tropical, grassy pavement

4. Length: 10mm

5. Coloration: bright reddish-orange head with black eyes, dark brown/black gaster, hairy legs and gaster

6. Distinguishing Characteristics: two petiole nodes if I can make it out correctly

7. Anything else distinctive: caught near other ants of the same coloration, but none of them had the size or shape that befits a queen

8. Nest Description: unable to find specific nest, only possible location is in the grass near the crack in the curb I found her in or in the curb itself

9. Nuptial flight time and date: unavailable, only found one lone queen, although there have been recent rains in my area

10. Pictures: https://imgur.com/gallery/LbpIi

Please embed these pictures; we can't access them. Just based on your description, however, I'm going to say Solenopsis invicta.

Thanks curators! I’ll see if I can post this on the nuptial flight chart thread.
