Hi, newbie from NY here. I just started getting interested in ant keeping a few months ago. I currently don't have a colony, but I am on the look out. I am 90% sure I missed all the nuptial flights for the year though. I think the only thing that might fly left is Tetramorium caespitum. I know I saw a bunch of them on Sept 5th, but I didn't have anything on me to catch them. My other pets are 2 snakes, a betta fish, a Vietnamese centipede and a dog.

Welcome! Yesterday, in WNY, we had a massive flight and if it's still warm in your area, watch the skys around 5pm. You can still easily catch loads of Lasius. In my area, it has been so cold and wet, catching any queens has been hit or miss. Yesterday, i filled 20 test tubes in 10 mins. You still have time!
