Especially relevant for dirt setups. Thinking about making one lately, how do you do it?

Assuming you designed it to allow this, exactly like how you clean the algae off a fish tank with a magnet cleaner.

Get yourself a super strong tiny enough magnet that you'll navigate the maze like inter-workings of the formicarium. Going to recommend sewing a tiny felt bag over the magnet so it doesn't damage your fridge... because that's all it is. Magnet inside a rag.

Time to play Operation: The Anting Chronicles!
