Hey! Glad to be here and wanna try and start ant keeping. Preferably catching my own queen. Done some research but any advice is welcome!

My advice is what you expect and prepare for won't even be remotely close to the amount of fun and interesting things you read, learn, watch, and then see unfold directly in front of your eyes. There have been MULTIPLE days where I'm seriously giddy with excitement at what I discover watching ants.
