I have a small suggestion. You should drill an extra hole on an adjacent side so that it can be connected to other nest ports. Just my 2 cents but other than that it looks awesome.

Thank you for your advice! We appreciate it. We do have that extra option available for free. It's just that we don't have our own plugs to plug up the hole which is why we leave it as optional and don't drill it anyways. I might contact someone to make some for me so I can do that though.

We launched our first ever line of horizontal nests at the Grand Rapids Reptile Expo yesterday and we're proud to announce we're now starting development on a larger nest. It'll be medium sized coming in at 6 inches by 4.5 inches. We'll be experimenting with a new vinyl tubing fitting design, and we'll keep you guys updated as the nest gets further along development.

Not much to update on besides that most of my ants are hibernating now. One thing I can update on though is I hope to sell some Pogonomyrmex occidentalis next year! But for now, here's a timelapse of my P. occidentalis colony.

I agree I like the color. Did you use pigment to get that color?

Yeah, I did use pigment. And the pigment is natural, so it won't harm the ants.
