Update 8/5/2022
The queens are all still chugging along and now are near the stage where they should be getting pupae. My prediction seems to be becoming true. I can’t wait to show you guys the queens with their incredible colorations. Honestly, they are the prettiest ants I’ve ever kept and if I’d have to rank my favorite honey pots it would have to go mexicanus, then placodops, and then mendax. These just take the cake and the cherry on top. These are also large ants. The queens might outmatch mexicanus. If so they would be the second largest pot in the United States, just behind the lovely and gigantic placodops 01 variant.
