It is completely DIY. I will add a list of items I used. It is coming along well but no spoilers.

Cool. I might make a mini one in case I catch Cyphos next year.

Does the big box have a tight fitting, (friction-fitting) lid?

Also, what are the dimensions?

I turned the box upside down and no it’s more of a heavy lid. It is glass and the outside dimensions are 3 and the insides are 3 3/4.

wow making that nest took longer than expected and also i was scrolling through discord to catch up on things and i would like to clear up some things. I did NOT get these from Cheeto. I have never purchased any colonies from them and I am sorry Cheeto for you getting asked about this. New update coming next week. I'll get some pics later today.

Every time I see Acromyrmex, I'm surprised to see how radically different the fungus garden looks from Atta fungus gardens

Very cool setup though! Looking forward to seeing them in the new one

Acromyrmex hang their fungus and atta grow theirs from the floor up. Also Atta fungus looks way more jagged and Acromyrmex versicolor or atleast this colony has very smooth looking fungus.

Also here are some more photos that I took. Sorry to post these so late. The nest was filled of condensation.

About the condensation - Can you talk about the condensation please. Is it normal, how much and if not how did you clear it in this set up. Is it present only in the fungus chamber, let's get to the educational part of this :-)

when i had them there was a really cold day here abruptly and i put them on a heat cable to keep them stable. I simply took the heating cable away and only watered the nest when completely needed and the condensation cleared right away.

hello everyone. I am sure everyone has beennoticing the incline of toxic threads and spam like posts on FC. Due to this giving me a head ache i have rarely come on. I think i am going to take a break for a while. I know that probably none of you will care but when i come back i plan to have the Acromyrmex prospering and thriving. You can DM me if you like or have question and i will respond but not as quick as usual. I hope to come back to a fresh and nice forum. The great formiculture i've heard so much about. I'll see you all on the flip side.
