Okay, so since a few people have asked, I decided to put this together real fast. So here is how to upload pictures to the gallery on Formiculture.

Step One: Go into the gallery, by selecting on it on the community index (Home Page).

Step Two: Select the upload button in the top right of the gallery.

Step Three: Either make a new album, or select one that you have already made.

Step Four: Once you picked the album you want to upload images too, you choose the image from your computer.

Step Five: Upload the image.

Step Six: Repeat steps four and five with all the images you want to upload. Note that you can only upload a certain amount of images at once.

Step Seven: Once you have uploaded all the images you want uploaded, select the review and publish button to review them all and edit their information if needed.

Step Eight: When you are happy with it, then select the finish and publish button.

Congratulations! It is now uploaded.

To put it into a post or thread, right click on the image in your album, and select 'Copy Image URL' and then paste the URL into your post. When you post it, the forum will automatically show the image instead of the URL.

Wow, very nice. Thanks for posting this.

One thing I would add though, is when obtaining the image URL, it's best to right click and select Medium, then click on that image and copy it from the browser address bar. That way the software doesn't shrink your image using HTML, and instead just displays the one that is already the proper size. Shrinking an image as it's rendered in a browser (via HTML) messes with the quality as it's seen on the screen.

IF however, your images are portrait orientation like Greg's are in this thread, it's best to do it the way he did, because the software shrinks portrait orientation pictures a lot smaller when creating the "medium" version of the picture.

Edit: Sorry if this sounds confusing. If you are unsure, just do them all the way Greg explains.

Maybe I'll have to get this thing upgraded.

I was trying to upload some photos to a new album, they're all about 1MB each. However, when uploading them they get resized to ~100KB and so they look super tiny. Am I missing something here?

Sorry but I can't get it to work right, I even tried with bot .jpg and .png format.  :(

I think you have to upload them as medium.

Sorry, but I can't get what you mean. There are no options and I can only select images from a folder in my PC.

This is what I can't understand. Where should I right click and select medium? As far as I understood I have to do it when I'm browsing my folders and searching for the correct image, but this leads to no medium option.

No other right click menus show up. Is this because I'm using Mac OS?

I'm sorry but I really can't get it to work.  :|

I would suggest doing a trial post. I haven't had to change the size of my images, the site takes care of that. The pics will look small until you review and publish but should be normal size once you've posted.

Step three in the OG post doesn't seem to be working in either Edge, IE 11, or Safari on iOS current.  The Upload page does not show the UI for album management or choosing files.  It just shows the STEP1 STEP2 banners.

Is there a way to move a photo from one album to another? Or sort photos within an album?
