HI guys!  In 2015 I had to move out of my place into a much smaller place.  I had to re-home my active colonies, my Pogonomyrmex colony and a couple of tetramorium colonies, and I put all of my vacant formicaria and other supplies in storage, and haven't been able to keep ants since.

During the last 4 years I quit my job and started a business, and I am just barely making it on the income from my business alone.  I'm hoping to be able to move my family into a bigger place next year and get back into ant keeping.  I love photographing insects, and i really loved keeping this ant journal.  I've made a couple of really good friends through ant keeping - and I'm really looking forward to getting back into the hobby.

Unlike AirConditioner, I didn't release them or kill them off.  My colonies were given away to fellow anters, so they could continue to be enjoyed by others.  Because of that move i lost a species I loved (P. Californicus) in a formicarium that I loved (Drews dirt box).

It made me so sad to get rid of those ants.  But it had to be done.  I'm working on getting Drew to sell me another dirt box now lol.  Maybe another Californiacus colony to go with it ;)
