This is half a 5' piece of 2x4 that they were living in when I used this group to boost my queen. The boost was successful but the colony would stop at nothing to escape. I tried everything. I even have some of these guys still hiding around the apt. lol. So, since I really want a crematogastor colony I decided to move them out of their AC Omni nest back into the 2x4. They didn't hesitate. I jammed in some cotton to allow for some moisture. I was wondering how they were doing over winter but I popped down some sugar water the other day and low and behold about 10-15 showed up for drink. Today I placed them in this outworld I created last year and put the heating cable underneath. Hope the queen is okay in there. I see their little heads peeking out. I think they sealed of the large gap by the cotton. Not sure.it looks almost like a paste was stuck there.

Looking good. They’re going to love that wood, for sure.
