Cool creature but it went extinct because it couldn't adapt. To me, the ones alive today are scarier. Probably required too many resources for those weapons and unfortunately never invented the insect equivalent of the federal reserve.

You're right. But yeah, I just think those abilities they possessed when it came to drawing metal particles to reinforce areas of themselves was the fascinating. But you must be right, can't use that to their advantage if they don't have it I guess.

Interesting article thanks for sharing. Makes you wonder what it used to hunt that it would need to reinforce parts of itself with metal.....
