Hello all,

For anyone living in the Commonwealth of KY who is in search of ants, I have a number of colonies available at the moment:

Formica subsericea - 20+ colonies

All of these queens were found here in Lexington back in July of this year.

They all currently have between 3 and 7 workers and are currently housed in a test tube setup.

Lasius americanus - 10+ colonies

All of these queens were likewise found in Lexington back in July.

These are also currently in a test tube setup, but have been developing a little more slowly than the Formica colonies.

No workers yet, but all have sizable brood piles with cocooned pupae visible. Anticipated arrival of first workers is 1-2 weeks from now.

The price is $50 for both the Formica and Lasius colonies.

Crematogaster cerasi - 1 colony

This queen was also found back in July.

Currently has 12+ workers and a sizable brood pile.

The price for this colony is $65.

The reason for the increased price - I connected the colony, originally housed in a test tube, to a small AntsCanda portal outworld for feeding. The colony then decided that the small space between the removable top and the portal entranceway was the perfect place to move in. As I don't want to risk harming the ants by attempting to move them from this new location, this colony will come with the AC portal outworld included.

I typically meet purchasers here in Lexington. I have never shipped ants before, and am a little hesitant to do so. That said, if you are willing to pay the shipping costs and know of a safe way to have them shipped, I am willing to give it a try.

If you have any questions or would like pictures of any of the above, please get in touch with me at jms34646@gmail.com.

Thanks!
