Hello,

I'm just getting my first ant colonies started this year. I have four tetramorium queens I found back in June that now have between 30-50 workers. I have two of the queens in THA mini-hearths and the other two are in TT setups in some acrylic box outworlds. I've read about how explosively this species grows and I can see it happening, so I was wondering when should I move them into a bigger formicarium? It would be convenient if I could keep them in their small set ups to hibernate.

Also, can anyone who has raised this species let me know how big of a formicarium I would need for their second year?

"The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer." Prov. 30:25
Keep ordinary ants in extraordinary ways.

I'm new to them as well and waiting for them to take off. I got a large formicarium with a lot of dividers to slowly expand it, but my new colony moved into the outworld.
