Interesting Mite Observation

I have mites in my roach culture.  They don't seem to parasitize the roaches, but they do eat the Formula food I feed the roaches.  Over time, the mites can become plentiful.

 

I blasted a heat gun on the food the mites were eating today, point blank, to no effect.  5+ seconds of 200-300F infernal hell, and most of the mites were just casually annoyed.

 

Wow!

 

I'm going to try a micro torch in a bit.

No, no, no. Why not call Robins Air Force base in Georgia, Or for the micro torch, switch the fuel with napalm.
