Hi, I'm Martin and I'm new to ant keeping.

I've always had an interest in ants and other social insects but I only got into ant keeping in the last few months. I have one "colony". I say that because I have a Lasius Niger queen with some larva but that's it for now. They are in a standard test tube set up at the moment, but I have a small formicarium ready for them.

Since I'm new I still have a lot to learn, but ready and willing to learn about these fascinating creatures.

Welcome to Formiculture StormRider! I think you are our first Scottish member. Good luck with your Lasius.

Welcome to the forum StormRider!  I am almost certain you are our first member from Scotland (I need to visit Scotland).  You'll find we try to help as much as we can and there are some nice posts here.
