turns brown? does that mean its dead i could i will upload pics when i firure out how painlessly i shall read how to post pics in a minute

It depends. That could mean a larva is being fed, and they have food inside, which gives them a slight brown hue.

yes thank you i have reason to believe that because it is more of a hue and just near the mouth
