I captured this ant species earlier today and I’ve never encountered it before I was wondering if anyone could identify if this ant is a male or queen and also maybe the species

There is a thread on how to upload pictures, but basically go to the Gallery, make an album to upload your pictures to.
Then you can add them to any thread or post by selecting "my media" in the text box toolbar.

You also should follow the Ant ID Request template to make your post easier for others to help you.  It's at the top of the Ant ID Request Thread.
