Yes, I feed them ByFormica food and sugar water.  I have no idea why they would be dying, as I see the workers eating occasionally and the larvae fill with food.

I gave the queen a P. californicus worker since I had such low hopes for her.  Surprisingly, it was quite successful; the worker and queen accepted each other quickly.

The last queen I had died about a month ago.  Hopefully I'll be getting more of this species later this summer.
