How does your brick trap work and when/where do you set it up?

Are you kidding me? He is GONE! This has been such a sad moment, and you ask about his brick trap? I'm sorry I just don't understand why you would ask that after he is freaking GONE! He doesn't want to keep ants anymore. I don't think he'll come back on to answer your question.

 I’ve almost completely lost interest.

It happens. The good thing about ants is that they'll always be there if you want to start again.

Hey KaelWizard don't worry about it.

Kingz2015, I set it up on a dry sandy dirt area. The first time you should pour about a gallon of water to make the area more enticing for ants to live.

Also I've come to bare even worse news... I am officially selling ALL my ants. And since I really don't want them anymore it going for way less than I ever would sell all of them. I've gotten into keeping praying mantises now. It keeps me busy. I guess my love for insects will at least always sticks around with me. I'm going to continue selling ants next year, so expect me to come around!

I don't have any right now as my male Chinese Mantis died of old age. I may get one sometime during a future reptile show.

Bummer! Still, it's not unusual to be enthusiastic about a new thing, explore it and go onto the next thing. Later you'll go back to it when the time is right.

Hey everyone!

Its been almost a year since i posted on this journal. Wow, time flies. I quit praying mantids and tarantulas. I decided I'm going to most likely get back into ants, and not just for the money (i made like 2 grand last year off ants lmao). I'm very interested in keeping Pheidole. My computer keeps trying to autocorrect Pheidole to 'pedophile'. How about no.

Anyways, I may also want to keep Tetramorium or Brachyamyrmex. Anyways I was just hoping people could catch me up to speed a little about anything interesting has happened.

I’m glad you’ve decided to come back. I already ordered a P. occidentalis colony last week. They haven’t shipped out yet.

I got a Pogonomyrmex occidentalis queen last week. I would recommend getting yours from Derpy. He's in California and has WAY better prices than THA.

Welp having updated this for a while. I have some Brachyamyrmex spp. which could very well be a small Lasius sp. lol but I'm too lazy to ID. Pheidole Bicarinata (dream species) and Camponotus Novaeboracnesis. I will have some Tetramorium Immigrans coming in soon. Here are pics. (really bad sorry didn't have much time)
