Hi everyone!

I'm Dom, and I am joining you all from Tucson, AZ. I am a college student, and I work in a lab at the U of A studying collective behavior and decision making in ants. Although I've been doing that for three years, this is the first year that I have decided to raise my own colonies. I have a Camponotus sensabeanus colony with one worker. I also caught a bunch of queens a few days ago, so I now also have a Crematogaster sp., Pogonomyrmex rugosus(?), Brachymyrmex sp., and one that I couldn't identify. I'm looking forward to raising a lot of colonies this fall!

Here is a photo of my Camponotus queen, "Champagne" drinking honey with her one worker.

Hello, I also am in Tucson and just found this board. I think I took up this hobby at the wrong time of year, but since it's been so rainy I am holding out hope there may be a nuptial flight in October. I bought a colony from our only GAN farmer in AZ, so have one Crematogastor cerasi queen and three workers.

with AZ diverse ant population I'm surprised there's only one GAN farmer.
