Hello All,

This insect doesn't register as an ant to me but it seems to have very similar properties. It's antenna are very malleable and worm like. It's mandibles are set very wide, It's got a pointy butt.

Any thoughts on what this is?

Thanks,

Kalen

Length: 8-10mm.

Location: Georgia, south side of Atlanta in the woods within 20 meters of a creek.

If you're interested in keeping these, they like honey water and fruit juices. They do well with other non-predatory bugs, I have a couple different species in an enclosure with some beetles and roaches.  :)
