Just curious, why is there a maximum number of posts I can like per day?

Thanks,

I am pretty sure you can like as much as you want. But do not like your own. Some people seem to have been doing that... Surprised it is not disabled.

I hit a max today.  It's the third time that's happened to me.

This forum software seems to have a lot of strange limits to things by default. I'll look into it.

I don't see why liking your own posts should be disabled… It's common knowledge that you don't need to reaffirm your endorsement of your own writing.

Edit: Attempted to like my own post for irony… Like button is gone for my posts and Drew's… Looks like he found a way to change it.

Haha, I was wondering if you were going to "like" my post here. I had a few bad settings for the members group. It will allow up to 100 "likes" per day now. :)

Edit: Didn't notice Miles' post until after posting this. He actually reminded me that yes, I also disabled "liking" of your own posts. Not sure exactly how each different configuration works, but I think it's not just showing you like something, but affecting reputation points in the system. This is why I think "liking" your own posts should probably be disabled.

In that case, most certainly disable it.

I can't like any of your posts Drew.  I guess as the administrator of the forum, you don't need a good reputation ;)

Oh thanks for letting me know. Now I know what protected group means.   I'll change it back. It would be nice if they had some better descriptions to some of these settings.
