Hello,

I bought a headlamp from India and inside the headlamp I found the death ants. Can you tell me the species? Did they come to the headlamp in India or somewhere during tranport?

Those are most likely a Pheidole sp from INdia, yes.

Looks more like a Solenopsis.

Perhaps Trichomyrmex destructor.
