This is no longer for sale.

 

It's used, but still works great. I made a much larger one, and really have no need for this one anymore.

 

This keeps your collection containers from tumbling all around, and keeps a stable temperature, even in fairly extreme conditions. It also keeps a high humidity because of the water tanks in the bottom.

The smaller collection containers are actually brand new. They've been cleaned out, and I've been using the same containers for a while now, and haven't had any problems with them harming the ants I put in them.

 

There is also Hydrostone in the bottoms of all the collection containers. This keeps them humid and gives the queen ant or whatever is in them a source of water. It also allows them to survive for a few days in case you don't have the time to move them to test tubes or some other container right away when you get home.

Do you sell just those collection vials with hydrostone on the bottom? do you hydrate those by just putting some water on them before going out?

I actually explained that in the container's own thread.
 

To prepare them, I simply take all the lids off and pour them all into a container of water until they are all saturated. Then I pour the water out of them and put the caps back on and they're ready to go.

I suppose I could sell the collection containers with Hydrostone, but I'm not sure it would be worth my time haha. It's very time consuming.
