this is to put all your trap ideas in, and traps that work, so everybody can use them so its eisier for the newbies (like me). i will test the idea ones and tell you guys if it works or not. And send pictures of them to if you can.

What exactly do you mean by traps? I do what most people do, go outside and look around for queens/colonies. Most of it is either luck based, or knowing the right conditions for specific species in your area. For example I know Camponotus herculeanus will fly around early to mid May, thus I will go outside on nice [no point going when there is snow on the ground] and wait for them.

Just use the search function of the forum to search for blacklighting, or variants of that. There are several threads on it already.
