I managed to catch the queen and several workers of the Linepithema Humile colony and I was wondering if I should keep them, release them back into the wild, or keep them as a new colony.

Kill them, they are extremely invasive and are infamous pests.

I agree. The responsibile thing to do would be to kill them.

either keep or kill. I capture a colony with 5 queens in my trash. I used them to experiment with foods. nest materials, and other things I might introduced my real colonies to. after a while they had some mites that kill half the colony. I released them back to their original colony so they get infected and die. I have not seen those little a holes. in my house since
