1. Location of collection: My house. I live near to a park. Bucaramanga, Colombia.

2. Date of collection: 03/16/2018
3. Habitat of collection: Tropical forest.
4. Length: 1 cm, maybe less.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Reddish head, black torax and black and white gaster.
7. Anything else distinctive:

9. Nuptial flight time and date: Guessing now

Looks like Dolichoderinae, but can't narrow it down any further.

There are no species of Azteca native to Bucaramanga

 

According to antmaps, you're correct, but antmaps doesn't account for every single ant colony; only for the documented specimens. Think about it logistically— is it likely there are 37 Dolichoderinae species in the Colombian state of Meta, but only one Dolichoderniae species in its similarly sized neighboring state, Casanare? If antmaps were to break up Pennsylvania by county, for example, I doubt every county would report Camponotus pennsylvanicus, but that doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist in every county; it just means they haven't been officially documented.
