I think he will be welcomed to the Ant keeping discord server and promoted to moderator asap. ;)

He is exactly that kind of person they are coddling there all the time.

Probably best we all drop that topic. We don't need one heated topic to evolve into something else that was already a heated topic elsewhere.

If you get what I'm saying? ;)

tagassi, have you been taking your medication?

First you say, "having any ant in captivity doesn't seem right. If we truly respect ants, whether they die today or tomorrow, they should be left in the wild, with complete 'freedom.'"

Then, you ask for ants at an affordable price? You just went against what you said prior. Multiple personalities perhaps?

If you can't afford the prices people are asking, go catch your own queen ant. Buy some test tubes off amazon for 10 bucks, cotton from the dollar store and drive within your 100 mile radius and catch your own. or better yet go dig up some argentine ants from your backyard, can't get any more affordable than that.

Wow you guys really added a lot to this thread. Read the thread I posted my message on about depicting themselves as some saint when they aren’t. It may have sounded like my stance was against ant captivity, but it wasn’t. No where in the thread did I say that I am against captivity nor did I say I don’t do it myself. The thread clearly says to not act like a saint when they aren’t,. I was talking about the other person, not about myself. Only if you guys understood the whole context, there wouldn’t be any misunderstanding. Read the very first thread I posted the depiction issue on. Otherwise, don’t argue because you’re arguing with only half the story or information. Clearly when you bring up a post and mock someone, you bring up their quote and put an “lol.” Now, I know you guys are so called “friends” with nurbs and you’d defend him like he is your BFF, but we all know what nurb posted was unnecessary. If he wants to make fun of me for not understanding the depiction issue, it really is insulting for me, one for not understanding the issue, and two for laughing about it.

People on this forum are nice, and for nurbs, he prices his colonies for what he thinks they are worth. We are trying to be casual about this, but people don’t usually mock people for personal pleasure.

People post things they regret, or perhaps others don't agree with. That being said, it's not worth getting into a heated debate about. We are all in the hobby to enjoy it, so let's keep it at that and not go to arguing about something so pointless as hypocrisy about antkeeping ethics.

Each to their own, as the wise someone once said :).
