Hello, I'm Braeden and I have a recently brought colony of dorymyrmex bicolour and a fire ant queen. The fire ant queen has not laid eggs yet and I'm not sure if it has even mated yet. Thanks for reading!

Welcome to Formiculture! You should start journals for your colonies. I know I, for one, am interested in hearing more about those Dorymyrmex!

Take a look at some successful journals, they're quite the read. There are a number of good ones out there, maybe start with Drew's. Remember, photos make all the difference so invest in a clip-on macro lens for your phone to take them to the next level.
