Why sell ants here? GAN project gives you 100% of the money made. Is it easier to sell on this site?

Formiculture provides traffic for sellers - meaning more sales.

You can sell on both GAN and Formiculture at once.

As far as I know, AntaCanada no longer forces sellers to sell exclusively through them. As far as selling here, we are not really involved in any of the transaction, all we do is provide a place to post publicly. For me, I would say I get about the same amount of sales from GAN as I do from here.

I've made several hundred off this site just in the past three months selling ants within my state. I don't even use GAN.

Good question. I don't plan on selling through Formiculture as a primary platform; I do have a website and am associated with the Global Ant Nursery. The intent of the Formiculture presence of Antyslvania was to invite educated perspectives from experts and experienced hobbyists to complement the consumer-driven sides of things.

Formiculture topics are indexed by Google. If you create a thread titled "Queen Ants for Sale In Alabama," for example, someone searching Google for "queen ant alabama" might just as or more easily find the Google search result for your thread, titled "Queen Ants for Sale in Alabama," leading them to your exact listing.

I have my email in my sales thread. 90% of people never even make an account here. Also like Terry said, look up, "buy ants in wisconsin" and my thread pops right up.

I just realized that pretty much everyone here, including myself, completely misread the intent of the question. Looking at the Subforum, it appears the questioner is asking about offering ants for sale in "Antsylvania's" shop, not advertising them here in the forum.
