How can the ants be infertile if they have eggs?

Sometimes, a queen will lay unfertilized eggs if she is not mated. The best way to make sure a queen is fertile is to wait for workers.

Hi, if you're looking for a colony, you should probably add your location to your profile, per forum rules. Do you live in California?
