MIGHT be Tapinoma, because of the body shape. otherwise they remind me of oddly shaped Anoplolepis queens.

I'm slightly more sure that that's Tapinoma, maybe a close relative of Tapinoma sessile.

Looks like a strange color form of tapinoma melanocephalum, but I've seen enough tapinoma sessile queens to know for sure that that ant is a tapinoma sp.

I disagree. This does look dolichiderine to me, though. Possibly may be Technomyrmex.

I disagree. This does look dolichiderine to me, though. Possibly may be Technomyrmex.

I believe that this is not Techomyrmex. In my experience with Technomyrmex sp. in Hawaii, I know that their thoraxes are smaller, legs shorter, and abdomens slightly larger.

Okay, now I officially have no idea what this species is. Looks like a cross between Tapinoma, Formica, and Nylanderia.

At first I thought that these are from the Dolichoderinae but now when I look again at these pictures I'm starting to think that they are actually Formicinae.

These look the most like Nylanderia but could be also unlikely Prenolepis, Euprenolepis, Lepisiota and others. Hard whit this huge diversity down there. :)

How is this colony doing now? I am very interested in them.

That colony actually belongs to a friend of mine.

I have never once gotten these queens pass their founding stages, only eggs at best.
