Slightly off topic, but why do you kids love Solenopsis so much? Is it because of all the Ants Canada videos?

If you live in socal, there are SO MANY MORE INTERESTING SPECIES TO KEEP than Solenopsis!

But in answer to your question, I'll collect a lot more next year. Maybe sell them to you for $200 a pop ;)

Just kidding. You'll have to wait til next year. They are super easy to find with a blacklight. Hit me up next year and I'll give some to you.

tbh that ants canada guy has run out of material and while his solenopsis colony has nice number of workers, there isn't much more to see. seems to me that each video is him asking viewers to name something and then making a poll for it. and while his newer videos lack substance, he still pushes out mundane videos weekly to push his real product, overpriced formicaria, and tubing.

yo nurbs, you have some of the better camera work here, and a collection of ant species mikey could only dream of. all you need to do is add some commentary and welcome to youtube ad money.

The Southwestern deserts have pretty big Pheidole. It just depends if you're willing to look for them :P

All 6 Super major producing Pheidole sp. live in the southwest deserts.
