Hey everyone!
I just adopted a gecko from someone who couldn't keep it anymore, and I'm looking to turn his setup Bioactive. I've done a ton of research, here's my plan:
Setup a hydroball drainage later, put mesh on that, then charcoal, finally top that with ABG mix. This will be my substrate. I have some driftwood from my mom's property that I will clean and put in. I plan to add spider plants, bromeliads, asparagus fern, and some ficus pumila. The substrate will have Springtails and isopods to break down organic material.
Are there any problems with these decisions? My research points to these plants all being safe and they would be able to live in the conditions in the vivarium.
Thanks for any input. The gecko is about 7 months old right now, so he's a well established juvenile in a 18x18x24 exo Terra.
