I obtained this queen from dspdrew on Friday, 11/28/14, also known as Black Friday. When I got her she had 19 strong, with quite a lot of brood. On Monday, 12/1/14 I moved them next to the warm spot of the freezer. They seem to being moving their brood closer. I also decided to name her Kog'Maw, after the league of legends champion that spits acid.

I hope you mean refrigerator, and not freezer, Tpro4.  Or do you mean they are on the outside of the freezer where the compressor releases warm air?

To anyone reading this—never put your ants in a freezer for any length of time!

Can you get an image of their whole setup? Also, where are all the workers? :P You may want to place them on a while surface like a piece of paper, just so they are more visible. ;) Nice colony by the way.

Today I added the single new liquid feeder to the colony. I put a 50/50 water/sugar solution in there. It works perfectly.

After losing quite a few of Kog'Maw's workers, because they escaped, I transferred them to a formicarium input together. They have settled in nicely. I also decided to put the other two crematogaster queens into this journal.

This here is Elza, she is a crematogaster, but I don't know what species.

Two days ago, two workers have enclosed, so she has three of them now.

Yes, but they prefer live baby cockroaches.

what's your formicarium made from?

A bead container, straws, hot glue, and non-sanded grout

I notified that Elza today had lost one worker, but gained another one. Alice has lost one worker. Kog'maw has decided to make the first chamber there poop room, and likes to stay in the straw connecting the out world to the nest.
