Ok, so in a week they will be at 600?

Actually, you might be right. Looking closer, I'm estimating that there's about 1 large larvae or pupae for each worker. And on their new diet, the queen's gaster is looking very plump, a teeny bit physogastric even.

They just had a sudden explosion of small-mid larvae. The pupae pile has extended till its partially blocking the hallway. Doing really well.

When I saw that table cloth or something under the nest, I was like “ we have a traitor in our midst!”

Good job though.

Nah, I just put paper under the nests. Since my desk is a dark color and so are my ants, it helps me see them better.

Nice work, man! My Tetramorium are absolutely exploding, too. They've been in this bead container formicarium I made for over a month, and I'm thinking they will soon need another extra large one! I have a second big colony still in a mini-fridge that I'm hesitant to take out because I don't know how I'll keep up with two huge colonies. Basically, I'll just need to install more shelves up in my house and soon!
