1. Location (on a map) of collection: Provo, UT, the park just south of independence high school
2. Date of collection: 8/19/2017
3. Habitat of collection: Forest Park, she was on the ground looking for a nesting site.
4. Length (from head to gaster): 10 MM
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Black with a clear and black striped gastor
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Single node, very smooth no spikes or hair.
7. Distinguishing behavior: Very Quick
8. Nest description: None

 

​I unfortunately do not have a camera capable of photographing her right now. Mine will not focus on her.

Pictures are of an utter necessity as of now; if not a very, very detailed description would be needed.

 

Just based on her behaviour and visual characteristics, I'm think she could be, or be closely related to, Formica neogagates.
