Monday would be the best day ever for me if its humid and a solar eclipse... I get to see the eclipse and have a chance of finding queens at tennis court lights DURING THE DAY :o)))))

I'm actually really excited, any advice for viewing the eclipse though (in terms of eye protection)?

Keep your eyes on Spaceweather.com, it's a fantastic place for information.

My interests will be focused on the tectonic plate movement.

I'm going to step outside on Monday at right time, look up with my eclipse glasses, and experience 99.5% eclipse coverage from my backyard.

I was going to drive about an hour north to get a full 100% but apparently the traffic is going to be apocalyptic and I have stuff to do later that day along with zero desire to be in a traffic jam. There's a reason I don't live in SoCal.

I'm very mildly interested in it. If someone doesn't tell me exactly when it's happening then I won't even think to look.

I remember when we had a total eclipse in Germany 11th August 1999 was quite cool but too fast over so be prepared to look at the right moment.

Supposed to be about 80% around my area, too bad it's during the daytime though that's when I sleep.
