Hello everyone!

I am just beginning in keeping ants, so a lot of help will be needed from you guys.

I am living on Mediterranean coast, South Europe.

I wonder if there are many members regionally, as we could exchange nuptial flight dates and queen IDs.

I have a founding stage colony of Lasius Niger and Messor Barbarus, with 5-6 nanitics each.

I have also caught 3 unindentified queens in a nuptial flight that occurred on 11th Jul 2017, near Split (43.582899, 16.560728), if anyone is interested. Looking forward to raising them up :)

Good to be here :)

Thanks!

Welcome, good job on the young colonies, Messor barbarus is a cool species. You can post an identification thread on the forum for those queens.

I accidentally froze all my ants
