Queens began laying eggs in 3 different setups

 

cerapachys sulcinodis

 

June 12 2017

 

found a small colony with 2 queens but no brood under log

 

June 14 - now

 

fed every day but still no eggs

sadly most of the c castanea have passed away, leaving only 2

Hi Leo, regarding ceraphacys sulcinodis, they need darkness and very very little disturbance to lay eggs. I got one colony once with 3 queens, for 6 months they didn't lay eggs, with workers continuously dying... just when i didn't care about them anymore and left them to die, they started to lay eggs, it was ridiculous... but my extra attention was damaging them.

good luck with them, and careful with how much you feed them, mold can grow pretty fast with them.
