I'm really confused about how the journals work.I see that people "update" their journals and then it is back up at the top of the page. How do you do this? Is there some button that gives you the option to update your journal or do you just reply on your own journal?

No, you just reply and the topic gets bumped to the top. Nothing special we are doing.

 

You also may notice in some journals that the title says when it last updated. That is simply us editing the title after "updating" the journal.
