I captured two queens in early to mid april. They both have brood. One of them has pupa and the other has larva. They look pretty much identical.
1. Location of collection: maryland, on the sidewalk.
2. Date of collection: early to mid april
3. Habitat of collection:
4. Length (from head to gaster):about 7/8ths inch
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: head is dark, almost black gaster. The beginning of gaster and top of legs, and beginning of thoracic region is reddish.
6. Distinguishing characteristics:
7. Distinguishing behavior: i kept one in a test tube with a piece of card board inside and she would keep her eggs on it.
