Wow.... I just combined my two large colonies and a single queen, and now I have a nice 3 queen and 150 worker colony with lots of brood.

My last post on this colony was nearly six months ago, when the first nanitics had just eclosed. For a long time, I wasn't seeing much progress being made, despite my efforts to feed them frequently and make sure they were consuming a lot of carbohydrates. I expected them to fizzle out like my single-queened colonies did back in 2017, but to my surprise, the colony is still going strong.

I've noticed in recent weeks that the queens have actually been laying eggs and colony is doing exceptionally well compared to all of my past experiences with Temnothorax. There are ten workers, around 15 larvae, and around 10 eggs. It truly feels like they are finally getting started now.
