I was so happy today when I was checking on my scorpion I found springtails in his water dish. I soaked down some jungle earth, and added a water dish to a small container without holes, and dumped in the scorpions water dish with all its lovely contents. I've been looking online for so long and all I had to do was bait them lol There is 10 or so larger ones and a pile of gray eggs floating on top the water. Any specific care requirement anyone would like to share?

They're pretty simple. Just a damp medium of some sort and wet food.

I culture some in a mason jar half filled with charcoal (not briquets), an inch of or two of distilled water, and sprinkle some brewers yeast I have on hand for fruit flies inside once or twice a week. Fish flakes, oats, rice, or about anything that will mold without going crazy should work. Don't overthink it.

To go easier, a plastic container with damp soil and a few layers of cardboard. Maybe put some food under the cardboard every once in a while. Springtails are slower to get going than one may think, but they're definitely simple.

I've since started 5 cultures and they are starting to take off. I now have them on activated carbon, with some white rice.

Nice, springtails are great. They do the dirty work for you. I had some in my tetramorium colony and relocated a good portion of them into a plastic tub not too long ago.

The bottom of mine is lined with some woodchips from a log and dried out leaves. I put about a 2 inch layer of dampened garden soil over it, then sprayed it with water. I primarily feed them small portions of fruit leftovers and fish granules.

Surprisingly, they are thriving in my cheap container.

Like the setup and seeing that they're doing well. The carbon really makes the springtails stick out.
