Worker One (presumably Solenopsis molesta):

1. Location of collection: Horsham, Pennsylvania. Suburb outside of Philly.
2. Date of collection: April twenty-third, 2017. Approximately 4:15 pm EST.
3. Habitat of collection: Grass/Open Dirt surface.
4. Length (from head to gaster): Approximately 1.5 - 2.0 mm.
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Orange/Yellow, Appeared to be shiny in sun.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Seem to be Myrmicinaerelatively similar shape as the invasive Tetramorium that live near my house.
7. Distinguishing behavior: Other workers were foraging from a trap I had set out for them, consisting of Honey and Chocolate-chip Cookie. These workers, however, didn't seem to be, regardless of their proximity to the feeding site.
8. Nest description: Hole in ground.

Worker Two (presumably Formica pallidefulva):

1. Location of collection: Horsham, Pennsylvania. Suburb outside of Philly.
2. Date of collection: April twenty-third, 2017. Approximately 4:15 pm EST.
3. Habitat of collection: Grass/Open Dirt surface.
4. Length (from head to gaster): Approximately 6-7 mm.
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Reddish/Orangish brown mesosoma, with a shiny, black gaster.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Originally thought it was a wood nesting Camponotus species like C. novaeboracensis, or C. chromaiodes.
7. Distinguishing behavior: Moved sporadically, seemed to have no trouble carrying very large pieces of cookie.
8. Nest description: NA.

Worker Three (presumably Lasius neoniger, L. alienus, or L. pillisartis):

1. Location of collection: Horsham, Pennsylvania. Suburb outside of Philly.
2. Date of collection: April twenty-third, 2017. Approximately 4:15 pm EST.
3. Habitat of collection: Grass/Open Dirt surface.
4. Length (from head to gaster): Approximately 3-5 mm.
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Light brown, looked almost pinkish/reddish in the sun.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Nothing out of the ordinary.
7. Distinguishing behavior: NA.
8. Nest description: Lifted up a small rock, and found a number of workers under it.

Note: Videos may be a little shaky or bad quality, but they're better than my phone's capacity to take pictures.

Okay, I've ID'd these ants. Here are the results if any of you are still interested:

  1. After carefully inspecting the first ant's antennal scapes under 10x magnification, I've identified it as Solenopsis molesta.
  2. The second ant is Formica pallidefulva.
  3. The third ant is Lasius neoniger.

Thanks to MrILoveTheAnts for help & advice.
